Location
Combining World Heritage Rainforest with Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway, this tour encompasses the best scenic transportation options available in the region. The Kuranda Scenic Railway is famed for its beautiful route and the fact that it has been servicing the community for over 100 years. Winding through the lush green rainforest, cascading waterfalls and tropical mountain ranges, this is one journey to remember.
The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will take around 1.5 hours from departure and includes stops at the Red Peak Station and Barron Falls along the way. The two station stops are worth exploring and guests are advised to allocate around 20 minutes at each to explore the lookouts, historical displays and enjoy a guided boardwalk tour from a local ranger.
In Kuranda, you're free to explore at your own pace. You can visit one of the many great family friendly attractions including Kuranda Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, or you could simply just wander around the markets and relax at a local café - the choice is yours.

Itinerary
- Bus pickup from selected Cairns City locations (approx. 10:30-10:55am, depending on pickup location)
- Depart Skyrail Smithfield at 11:30am,
- Depart Train from Kuranda at 3:30pm,
- Disembark at Cairns Central Railway Station and make own way back to accommodation.
