Come and experience an authentic Aboriginal culture with the Tjapukai people in Cairns. Wander through the Magic Space to view authentic stone age artifacts once used by the Tjapukai tribe. Murals created by Tjapukai artists tell the legends of the past. Enjoy the sounds of the haunting didgeridoo in the Nature's Voice Theatre. The Didgeridoo - A Journey show explores the traditional didgeridoo and incorporates contemporary music with beautiful images of the distinctive region. The Creation theatre tells the stories of the dreamtime and traditional beliefs of the Tjapukai people.

Move through to the Tjapukai Dance Theatre to experience a dance performance of Tjapukai traditional corroborees. The Cultural Village will provide an opportunity to interact with members of the Tjapukai community. Try your hand at boomerang and spear throwing. I did the day Tjapukai Aboriginal cultural park experience on june 8. It provides an authentic experience in to the culture of Tjapukai people who are the original inhabitants of Australia. As their tagline says " Discover where Australia begins" at Tjapukai, one can explore the rich history of the world’s oldest living culture, dating back over 40,000 years. You can visit the park by day or night and enjoy a unique cultural experience with performance, dance, food and arts. Tjapukai is all-weather center built by Australian government for the tourists, offering unique experiences in one location. Tjapukai is the perfect place to gain a deeper understanding of Australia’s diverse Aboriginal heritage. It is a popular tourist attraction in Cairns and a must-visit when holidaying here. It is one of the most authentic Aboriginal tours available in Australia

Great day, lots to do at the park, was great trying out boomerang throwing, only issue was not everywhere was signposted well but staff were normally around to help

Tjapukai is a really interactive experience, where you will learn all about the Aboriginal people and their culture and their way of life. Make sure you have a go at playing the didgeridoo and throwing a spear, it's not as easy as it looks.
