Explore the famous Kakadu National Park on a 5-day 4WD adventure, departing 6:30am from your nominated accommodation in Darwin. During the tour you'll have the opportunity to learn the lay of the land thanks to your experienced guide, who will be taking you to each major attraction throughout the region.

With small groups of up to 9 people, this tour offers an intimate look into the rugged wilderness present throughout the Top End, including a variety of wildlife, from various wallabies and birds to the ever-popular Saltwater Crocodile, as well as the incredible landscapes and tropical rainforests that make Kakadu such a magical destination.

The tour operates from June - September and includes hotel transfers, camping equipment (both tents and swags), wildlife cruises, and three delicious meals per day (Breakfast not included on day one & dinner not included on day five).

Day one includes being picked up from your nominated accommodation early in the morning to begin the journey to Kakadu, following Jim Jim Road and stopping off at White Lily Billabong for morning tea along the way. You'll also be visiting Gunlom Falls, a popular waterfall that features refreshing pools to take a delightful swim, before setting up camp away from the crowds.

Day two will be spent exploring Jarrangbarnmi (Kooplin Gorge), where you'll learn about the strong ancestral history of the land, including some of the incredible Dreamtime stories that have been told for centuries. Kooplin Gorge also includes a popular walking track that features a genuine touch of wilderness and will require a medium level of fitness to reach the lookout, where you will be able to enjoy views of the spectacular rock pools, waterfalls and rugged landscapes. Once the day has come to an end you will return to camp at Gunlom Falls for a campfire dinner.

Day three begins with a drive to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) to spend an entire day hiking, exploring and swimming in some of the regions more remote locations, away from any crowds. Another 4WD adventure will transport you to your next destination, with a short walk through paperbark and monsoon forest to a small waterfall accompanied by a refreshing plunge pool where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. Continue north to Jim Jim Falls, before finishing up for the day at the exclusive safari camp at Garnamarr.

Day four will see you back in the 4WD headed to the beautiful Twin Falls, where you will walk to the top of the falls for a swim in crystal clear pools away from the crowds. The middle of the day will be spent exploring Jim Jim Falls, before setting up for camp at Mardugal (with showers and toilets available) with a Great Aussie BBQ that includes Crocodile, Buffalo and Kangaroo tasting plates.

Day Five includes a trip to Nourlangie Rock, an ancient aboriginal occupational and art site, before visiting Gunwharedewharde lookout for exceptional views of the region, including one of Australia's last true wilderness destinations, Arnhemland. On your way back to Darwin you will call in to the Mamakala wetlands to meet some of the various bird species, before finishing up with a wildlife cruise on the spectacular Corroborree Billabong. The tour arrives back in Darwin at approximately 5.30pm.
