Location

Explore Australia's second oldest National Park; Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park with this Wilderness and Aboriginal Explorer Tour & Cruise. Departing Sydney CBD, you'll be whisked out of the busy city via a comfortable coach en route to this historic National Park. Located around an hour drive from Sydney, once you've reached the NP you'll embark on a guided tour around the grounds to explore the beauty of this area as well as visiting the West Head Lookout for spectacular early morning views.

Ku-ring Gai Chase is home to the world's most concentrated collection of Aboriginal Heritage sites, with around 1000 present in the region. With the help of commentary from your experienced guide, you'll be able to learn about the traditional Aboriginal heritage and the natural environment and wildlife in the NP. The next major stop on the tour is to a remote and sacred Aboriginal Heritage Site where you will be able to see some ancient rock carvings before climbing aboard Sydney Out Back's 50-foot cruiser and cruising through the National Park. While on board the 2.5 hour cruise you'll be treated to a delicious, Australian lunch of bush-tucker flavours as you take in the natural beauty of the area and visit some remote rock-art sites only accessibly via water.

This day tour is a great way to learn about the Aboriginal culture and see some of Australia's natural beauty. This all inclusive tour also provides transfers before and after the tour for guests as well as morning tea and lunch throughout the day and all necessary National Park fees. I enjoyed the actual tour and visiting the sites. The Aboriginal highlights of the tour is what I enjoyed the most - the ceremonial site, rock art and artefacts. Kurringhai Chase is a beautiful National Park. The guide had good general knowledge of Australian History. However, pick up took an hour from the time I arrived at the pick up point. Drop off was better. I did like your flexibility in picking up ana dropping off at the location of choice.
