What you need to know

Paddle around the iconic Lake Wanaka with this overnight kayaking tour. A scenic and adventurous combination, this two-day, one-night tour will see you kayak around the waters of the lake, set up camp for the night under the stars, wake up, and go on another kayaking adventure.

Day one features up to 4 hours of relaxed kayaking taking in all of the Alpine views and trying to spot local wildlife. With the help of an experienced tour guide, you'll learn about the history of the region while enjoying a slow-paced kayak. You'll also be treated to a delicious lunch during the day to refuel your energy for the remainder of the journey. After the 13 kilometre journey, you'll pull up on the bank to set up camp and spend the night under the stars. With a delicious dinner prepared by your tour guide, you'll be able to take in views of the region at night as gets lit up by the twinkling stars.

On day two, you'll be woken up by nature to enjoy a yummy breakfast before climbing back into your kayak for some more exploring. With another 13 kilometres of kayaking on the agenda and a 20-minute kayak portage, you'll finish the experience on a high and eager to explore more.
